So some wires have been crossed in recent years and the draft picks some years were made by regular season standings and some the championship standings.

Regular season: the picks would be ordered by how the standings are when the playoffs begin.

Championship standings: the last 6 picks would be decided based on how far the playoff teams advance. In rounds where two teams are eliminated, the team with the worse regular season record will get the higher pick and the championship team will have the last pick. Teams not making the playoffs will be put in the order they finished the regular season standings in.
