Corey Dickerson contract issue

So I'm paying Corey Dickerson $6.40 mil this season since that was his projected arbitration salary. However, it looks like he agreed to a 1 year, $5.95 mil contract last month to avoid an arbitration hearing. Per the rules, I pay the lower amount, correct?
