I see that just about everyone has jumped on the forums in the last 24 hours which is awesome and 10000000 percent needed.
Tomorrow the draft will begin at 12:00 noon EST. The first team will go, they will literally say something along the lines of
Shelbyville Shelbyvillians select Catcher Gary Carter New York Mets
At that point it will be the next person's turn. We will have multiple admins who will "take turns" emailing when its your turn. If there is a better way to contact you let me know. For now we will send messages in the message bar up top. MESSAGE ME, if you have a number you wanted to be texted on, or if you would rather be emailed. At the two hour mark we will use the email that you signed up for proboards with. Remember you have 4 HOURS to make a pick! That should be plenty of time to hop on and get er done. The "freeze time is between 10 pm and 8 am" est. I know some of you are in different time zones. I will be lienet with that especially with the AM time.
The salary cap will be set at 190 million dollars. It's a BIG cap. I don't see it moving in the forseeable future.
The draft itself. Pro draft will be 22 rounds long so that you can have a full roster if you want. That does not mean you have to fill every spot before you fill your bench. You're all big boys, I trust by opening day everyone will have a starting roster according to the rules that we have established. Any questions direct to me or Isotopes.
The draft is going to go on for a while, weeks. I already predict us starting the minors draft in a couple of weeks to get that finished before the season starts. Read up on which players are prospects and which are not.
To help people not pick the same person twice. I'll have a master list as part of the contracts page of players who have been picked. The contracts page have been updated by position. It's only the people whos contract I could find on the list, there may be some players missing. Again read up on who you can and can't pick in the PRO Draft.
Finally have fun guys, trades are not allowed for the first 4 rounds of the prospect and pro drafts we want to make sure everyone has a decent core team. After that trade your picks anyway you want, they will go through the review of the league of course, again see the trade rules.
