It's a weird issue. Maybe his son was being a distraction in the clubhouse. These guys are there to work. How would you feel if you're there, working hard, and some guy is sitting in front of your locker? Doesnt get right up? If that's what was happening then Laroche really can't say too much

I don't like Sale speaking up. It causes more of a distraction than anything was in the first place. But my thing is, what job in the world let's you being your 14 year old son every single day?

I looked up what both Sale and Eaton were saying. We aren't getting the full story. The son pissed off a player that didn't say anything to the rest of the team and went straight to management, or the son pissed off management.
Either way, it makes no sense on Laroche's part. Why would you need your son there? Don't you know there's eventually going to be an issue?

LaRoche had it in his contract for WAS that Drake would have no limitations on visiting privileges. I would imagine the same clause (or something similar) was in his CHW contract, which makes this a pretty interesting case. Also from a labor law standpoint, it's a benefit that LaRoche regularly used, was never discussed as a problem, and management and players were aware of the arrangement. Taking away this "right" probably wouldn't be looked upon too favorably, unless there's some heavily mitigating factors at play here.

There is a long history of baseball players bringing their kids around all the time. How else do you think Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr, and many other baseball players who had parents as players were able to learn so much.

Yea, brought those guys to the field. I heard an interview yesterday with Cal Jr where he said its weird to bring your kids into the clubhouse. He said the field is fun for them, they can shag fly balls and all that crap, but the clubhouse isn't a place for them.

Mike Cameron brought his son to the clubhouse, but he taught him what to do and not to do. I'm thinking Laroche may not have done that and someone got mad. If that's the case, shame on him. If its in the contract or not he needs to make sure his son is behaved.

I think drake beat someone in poker and they got pissed lol. My problem is its spring training right now does it really that big of deal. Their just getting there cuts in and pitching in to try to get things right before season is causing u to mess up on field. The other thing had he hit like 260 or better not a problem
