Congratulations to all those who have made it. Good luck to all those and don't worry, even if you're in the consolation bracket your season isn't over yet!
P.s. happy birthday tummysticks!

So do we have any kind of playoff roster regulation? We can continue to add free agents and call people up normally, without restriction?
p.s what am I supposed to do for 2 weeks on the bye besides post questions and research how my prospects are doing?

I didn't find anything when I looked through the rules. We should probably add some kind of restrictions to that on the winter meeting topics. p.s what am I supposed to do for 2 weeks on the bye besides post questions and research how my prospects are doing?Make Nomar puns.

Agreed. We should put something in the winter meetings that the roster is locked. You can call up or send down in case of injuries, but that's all

We can Institute it now if people agree with it. And whatever bids are in now are the last ones.

We can Institute it now if people agree with it. And whatever bids are in now are the last ones. How about, if we freeze bids, we do so at the start of the next playoff round? That way it only actively affects 4 teams. And gives those teams a few more days to add if they want. I'd be in favor of freezing bids because there will be many minor leaguers coming up to make their debut after the rosters expand on 9/1. And while most of those players are already signed to our teams, several might not be and who wants a bidding war on those guys at the end of the year when caps are depleted? Also, I would not be opposed to an end of waiver trades for the season at the start of the next round as well.

Yea that's what I was aiming for too. To avoid bidding wars on September call ups. Just a caveat since you said only 4 teams so everyone would understand, it means no moves by anyone. Just call ups and send downs

Well no. Noone would be cut past that point anyways. A playoff roster is a playoff roster.

At this point in the season there isn't much reason to cut anyone anymore.

Well that's where planning ahead comes into play. If you don't have room or cap space for the September call ups, it's really on you

Or we can do cuts but not free agency. That's inviting trouble letting free agency go for cuts only. For instance say I'm out of the playoff race but want to call guys up and save moneyour, so I cut Trumbo because he only is on a one year deal. Then a playoff contender can pick him up and that creates an advantage for that player over others
