Right now we have a 8x8 scoring system. This is actually up for debate our first year and look for input from you guys. Right now the scoring goes as follows:
Hitting:
Runs
Home Runs
Extra Base Hits
Runs Batted In
Strikeouts (Less is better)
Stolen Bases
Average
Pitching:
Strikeouts
Quality Starts
Shutouts
Wins
Saves
Holds
ERA
WHIP
Tiebreakers are based on head to head for the playoffs. 6 teams will make the post-season. 1 winner from each division and 2 wild card teams based on record. The two teams with the best record will be getting first round byes.

My only suggestions are replace shutouts with walks (a negative stat like strikeouts for batters) because the pitching stats as of now are a little starter-heavy if that makes sense, and replace extra base hits with walks or OBP for batters (honestly the only reason I suggest this is I'm not a fan of extra base hits lol)

I agree, Add Walks for Hitters and switch Shutouts for Walks with pitchers because you already have Wins and QS. If a pitcher gets a Shutout then they are getting a QS and a win, those three categories are very close. My suggestion would be go with a 7x7 and remove XBH for hitters and wins for pitchers (I like QS better than wins because thats more based on the pitcher rather than who follows him up).

Question about post season (everyone can input opinion on the last point):
1. When does it begin? (i'm assuming last 3 weeks of the regular mlb season?)
2. Is there a way we can expand the DL roster? Or, alternatively, send down players to AAA without waiver or options penalty during post season? (since rosters are expanded anyways?).
Reason being is during september call ups nobody gets put on the DL because of expanded rosters. So you could end up in situation like I was in last year where almost half my lineup is injured but I can't replace them with anyone because they aren't officially on the DL.

That's a good one we will look into the roster expansion. Currently there's a poll in the forum to cote in one or two week playoff match ups if it was two weeks it would start August 22, otherwise yea three weeks out. Make sure you vote on it!

What are the official scoring rules? Are we going with cryptic's suggestion? I would prefer that, but I just want to know before we get too far into the draft.

I think we need to keep wins , that's almost the whole purpose for pitchers in fantasy , I think we said to get rid of shutouts
