Arbitration 2023

If you have been here for an offseason you know the deal, if you're new then read the following. The arbitration numbers we use are taken from mlbtraderumors.com's projections. We do it this early because if you reject a players arbitration, they are eligible for RFA. Doing it this early makes it easier for you to plan ahead, and for us to get an idea of who is going to be a free agent when we set it up. MLBTR is very very on target with their projections, which is why we use them. However they aren't perfect, and at most are about 1 mil off. So to reconcile that, if you accept the number that is posted here and the player ends up settling for less, you will get the lower number. If you accept and the player wins his case and gets more, you will receive the projected number. That way you always get the lower number. You will respond to this post with who you accept or decline or if you want to wait for now. The deadline for this is January 1st. If you decline and want to RFA, go to the RFA thread and post there. If your player signed a contract to avoid arbitration or as an extension, you will pay the AAV of that contract for the remainder of the time that you have control over that player.
