So here's the fun. One little thing I never counted for in my set up with everything was that fact that there were going to be TIES. There were MANY ties. And after adding it all together it totally switched everything up. Like RIDICULOUSLY made one team fly into the 9-12 category. So I present the 9-16 teams, because I'm a fucking idiot edition!!!
Team 16: San Marcos Scrubs (Sorry still last)
Hitting
Pitching
The best players on San Marcos were Joey Votto, who is estimated to have 21 HR's and 71 RBI along with Kyle Schwarber who should have 83 RBI and 28 HR. Marcus Stroman projects to be the best pitcher with 13 wins and a 3.93 era along with 166 Strike outs. Shields leads the team in strike outs with 187.
Scrubs scored very high in Saves placing 3rd in the league and also high in Base on Balls and Stolen Bases.
Team 15: Albuquerque Isotopes
Hitting
Pitching
Adrian Beltre leads this team with 20 Hr, 84 RBI and a 292 batting average. Cespedes is also projected to have a good year with 25 HR, 82 RBI and a .256 AVG. Betts leads the team with a .298 average. On the pitching side, deGrom holds down the fort with about 206 Strike Outs, 13 wins and a 3.17 era. 5 players on the team have over 160 strike outs.
Isotopes ranked last in pitching, mostly due to last in the league in Wins, which is only because they have a lot of relief pitchers. Isotopes did rank 3rd in hitting though topping the league in RBI, near the top in HR and also doing well in Runs and Average.
Team 14: Flonx Fombers
Hitting
Pitching
Flonx has a decent run and leading the charge is a healthy and non dickhead Yasiel Puig. 23 home runs, 77 rbi, 56 walks and a .287 average. Chris Davis also comes off huge with 36 home runs but only a .246 average. Pitching wise Liriano continues his resurgence locking down 207 strike outs and a 3.35 era. Flonx does not have a pitcher with an era below 3.
Flonx does well in the league in Saves coming in second place and 5 in Home runs, and RBI. Last in stolen bases and second to last in Ks doesn't help the cause when it comes to moving up the standings.
(TIED) Team 12: San Antonio Gauchistas Moved up one spot due to error
Hitting
Pitching
I suck, I totally put San Antonio Scrubs. So ignoring that flub. San Antonio in a full year had great production from Randal Grichuk along with Jun-HoKang. Kang's can be tempered due to his injuries. Maeda had a great campaign with 13 wins and 172 ks. But Chris Sale lead the team with 14 wins and a 2.79 era and 242 strike outs.
San Antonio was second in Xtra Base hits and in Strikeouts for batting. Also leading the charge in wins and strike outs. Struggling in the Saves , and the walks and runs categories
(TIED) Team 12: RUMHAM
Hitting
Pitching
You kind of could call this 12a, and San Antonio 12b. They did have tying scores. I gave the advantage to RUMHAM as he did have a number one ranking in the Home Run Category. Giancarlo Stanton was the heavy hitter with 41 home runs projected, 102 rbi and a .276 batting average. Sorry if i'm ruining any possible trades. Texieria had 30 homers but only a .232 average. On the pitching side everyone was bunched together. There was no Keuchel MVP this year having about the same ERA and K's as Cashner Pineda and Gausman. Melancon led the way in saves.
RumHam got number 1 in home runs with a team total of 237, beating out the Isotopes by 9. Doing well in RBI BB but struggling mightly with K's and Average coming in last place in both.
Team 11: Gallobombs
Hitting
Pitching
One thing I should say is when you see the rankings sheet everyone is pretty close to each other. That being said Gallobombs comes in with a steady team all throughout. Moreland and Calhoun peak the homers over 20, while Polanco and Murphy lead the way in batting average. On the other side of the ball the pitching staff is somewhat of a monster. Scherzer and Kershaw continue to propel with 244 k's approx each and both under 3 eras. Miller joins the under 3 era club and Tolleson and Miller make up the bulk of the saves.
Gallo placed 4th in pitching overall coming in first in ERA and second in WHIP. Gallo struggled in the offensive department though last in home runs, rbi, and base on balls but first in stolen bases.
Team 10: Krustyville Aliens
Hitting
Pitching
This may be the largest gap in a single category for Krustyville with a staggering 121 saves projected this season, second place (Flonx) comes in at 97. A 24 save difference. Even the hitting categories like (This is the exact moment I realized there were ties everywhere) Runs, HRs RBI BB are all closer then the saves category. I find that to be the craziest stat.
The Marlins, I mean Aliens end up getting most of their HRs from ex-Marlin Miguel and also Jay Bruce with 26 and 25. RBI's are high with Cabrera as well his average seems to be the highest I've found so far. Current Marlins Ozuna and Yelich don't fare as well though. Fernandez has what looks like one of the best years in the league, same can be said for flamethrower Noah. Jansen, Cishek, Davis and Grilli all pick up a ton of saves but lacking is the wins.
Krusty easily wins in saves, is near the bottom in wins. But his pitching staff ends up being tied for 3rd best in the league. The hitting side, not so much 3rd from last, last in Runs and then middle of the pack everywhere else puts his hitting side in the crunch.
Team 9: Jose Altruve
Hitting
Pitching
Altruve finished just above Gallobombs and just below our next team. Not to high on Melky, Kinsler and Grandal the bulk of the hitting comes from Kris Bryant projected at 30 homers 90 rbis but 170 strikes outs. And also Encarncian whos projected at 33 homers and 97 rbi. On the other side of the ball Carrasco cements himself as one of the elite with a just barely over 3 era but 220 strikes outs. Ziegler, Rodney and Hoover all combine for 74 saves.
Altruve finished in the middle of the pack in both hitting and pitching. Hitting wise coming in first place in base on balls but near the bottom in strike outs... how that works I'm really not sure COUGH KRIS BRYANT COUGH. Jose's pitching staff was strong in Wins, K's and Saves.
Hello! So Yesterday and today I put together a little bit of analysis on the team and gave some power rankings to them. I used the Streamer 600 so that I could get an idea on if everyone had a full season without injuries etc etc.
If the pictures don't work click hitting and pitching to see the graphs.
Now these are just for fun, they are in no way or shape the way the season is going to play out. The other league the guy did them in and the team that was in 3rd to last won the league. So obviously these don't pan out AT ALL or hardly ever. Either way, it's a fun way to spark debate on whos team they like more and get us through this last week before the season starts.
I have made graphs for each team. The more "full" your graph is the better. Pitching was only broken down into W, ERA, SV, K, and WHIP. While Hitting at the full lineup of stats. Without further ado. Power Rankings teams 13-16!
